Danny Hay Davis is one of three guitarists in the Portland based band The Yanks. Their first release "Deep Wood" is available at cdbaby.com. Danny Hay Davis began writing music at the age of twelve when his mother purchased his first quality acoustic guitar, as opposed to the cheap one he twanged on in his earlier days. He began performing in Portland Or. bars as lead guitarist for the progressive rock band Zachary River at the age of seventeen. At nineteen he co-formed the band No Comment and had one of his compositions aired on the main rock station in Portland, KGON. Many bands later Danny put performing on hold to raise children, but continued to play guitar and write daily. After 15 years in the concrete construction trade and 3 years running and owning a small construction company he could take it no longer. Danny and The Yanks are now Portland Oregon's hardest working band playing 4 nights a week to packed rooms in Portland's best rock & roll and blues clubs. Visit http://www.dannyhaydavis.com.
