JITR, an exceptionally and distinctively talented singer/songwriter, is currently based in Canada. Born in Tehran, Iran in 1973 and having attended a British Boarding School in India, JITR’s background has played a great part in his love for music and its power to be appreciated by everyone. Now an avid Traveler, JITR and his music have always been well received in the countries he has visited and resided in. All of JITR’s songs, a smooth blend of pop/rock, are original and are performed in his own individual style. “Why Don’t We Try”, JITR’s first original song gained him recognition and airplay on England’s Sussex Drive radio station when he was only fifteen years of age. In 1991 JITR traveled to Hong Kong to start a multi-cultural performing arts group for youth, of which he was the coordinator. This performing arts group was well respected and in great demand, performing at various local venues. Returning to Canada in November of 1992, he was chosen to be one of five solo performers (from roughly 5000 applicants) to perform at the youth forum for the Bahai' World Congress held in New York City. Auditions for this widely recognized event took place in all the major cities in North America. This spectacular event encompassing roughly 30,000 participants was broadcast in Canada, the United States and throughout the world, live via Satellite. Soon to follow were performances in Romania and the Czech Republic, where he received both T.V and Newspaper coverage for his songs Emblazin, SatuMare and Never Alone. JITR then Traveled for the next year throughout Eastern Europe performing for various peace groups, schools , orphanages and coffee houses. Other notable collaborations and enriching experiences with: MIchael Creber ( former Keyboardist for K.D. Lang), Omid Djalili ( Actor/Comedian ), Jack Lenz (Producer/Composer), and Russel Garcia ( Composer). The next goal for JITR is to have intimate and interactive international recognition of his Talent, dedication and passion for the Music World.
